Tedde is directly responsible for the PHILADELPHIA MARKET AREA including the counties of Chester, Delaware, Bucks, Montgomery, and Berk as well as Wilmington, DE.

Tedde Gibson is a distinguished musician recognized for his mastery of classical and theatre pipe organ, jazz, and gospel music. His performances showcase his ability to merge these genres seamlessly on both the Hammond organ and piano, as well as theatre and classical pipe organs.

Born in Tacoma, WA, Mr. Gibson began studying piano at the age of four under Gail Brooks and Dorothy Bade. His formal training includes pipe organ studies with Dr. Edward Hansen at the University of Puget Sound (UPS), piano instruction from Dr. Stephen Moore, vocal coaching by Dr. Thomas Goleeke, further pipe organ studies with Dr. Carol Terry at the University of Washington (UW), and improvisation guidance from David Dahl. He has also received coaching from Jonas Nordwall and Andy Crow. After relocating to Washington, DC, he studied classical organ with Dr. Mickey Thomas Terry at Howard University and subsequently continued his education at the Peabody Institute with Dr. John Walker.

Mr. Gibson served as theatre organist at Pizza and Pipes in Tacoma for five years, performing concerts and accompanying silent films, and actively participated in theatre organ restoration projects. He notably held the position of chairman of the American Theatre Organ Society (www.atos.org), becoming the organization’s first African American chairman.

His performing and recording credits include collaborations with renowned gospel and jazz artists such as Ernest Pugh, Twinkie Clark, Jennifer Holiday, Melba Moore, Edmonia Jarrett, the late Shawn McLemore, and Dorinda Clark-Sheard. Mr. Gibson is Chief of Fine Arts at Mount Pleasant Church (www.mountpleasant.org) in Baltimore, organist at Capitol Hill Seventh-Day Adventist Church (www.capitolhillsdachurch.org), house organist at the Weinberg Center for the Arts (https://weinbergcenter.org)in Frederick, MD, and previously served as musician-in-residence at First Baptist Church of Highland Park (https://fbchighlandpark.org) for eighteen years. He taught vocal music for fourteen years at Highland Park Christian Academy and offers private instruction.

Mr. Gibson performs nationally, accompanying silent films, facilitating workshops, and has performed for the American Theatre Organ Society, American Guild of Organists, Organ Historical Society, and Hampton Minister’s Conference. He has produced two recordings on the former Hardman Studio Wurlitzer, performed and recorded on the world’s largest pipe organ in Atlantic City, and is currently completing Let There Be Praise Vol 2. His musical arrangements are available through Augsburg Fortress.
