Part-Time Organist/Adult Choir Director
First Presbyterian Church, 130 Broad St., Bennettsville, SC
First Presbyterian Church-Bennettsville seeks a skilled part-time organist/adult choir director (role may be split between two people). Our worship features a traditional, Reformed style supported by a 2-manual, 28-stop Schantz pipe organ (1974) and a restored 1913 Everett grand piano.
Responsibilities include:
Leading and coordinating the church’s music program;
Playing for weekly services, hymns, and special occasions (extra compensation for weddings, funerals, etc.);
Directing the adult Chancel Choir (weekly rehearsals/services);
Optional: directing adult handbell choir (additional compensation);
Accompanying children’s choir and soloists;
Overseeing the music budget, library, and instrument maintenance
