Organist and Choirmaster

After years of dedicated service to our parish, John Herrmann is retiring. We are looking for an organist and choirmaster who will enjoy playing for a traditional Anglican High-Church liturgy which uses the 1928 BCP and the 1940 Hymnal, and who will conduct a talented six-member choir of paid singers who have sung together for two decades and are highly valued by the congregation. The applicant should know that contemporary praise music is not used in this parish, only the glories of traditional hymnody.
Practice with the choir occurs on Sunday mornings beginning at 9 a.m., followed by the service at 10 a.m. Special services in addition to each Sunday are Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Christmas Eve. Vacation for the organist and choirmaster is coordinated with the members of the choir.
