Rodgers Masterpiece organ to be installed at Westwood Baptist Church, Cary, NC
About three years ago, Al Murrell, Vice President of R. A. Daffer Church Organs, Inc., installed a large Rodgers three manual organ in the new 6000 square foot home of Mr. Sid Seymour located on Jordan Lake.  Due to Sid's recent and untimely death, his estate went about helping Sid realize his desire to have his Rodgers organ be installed in a nearby church.  Caroline Allen, Music Director of Westwood Baptist Church in Cary, NC became aware of this instrument and contacted Sid's brother to see what would be necessary to acquire the organ.  This project began to move rather quickly and Caroline contacted Al Murrell to have R. A. Daffer Church Organs, Inc. survey her church and determine what would be necessary to re-install the organ in the church.  Westwood Baptist is a 1000 seat sanctuary with two chambers located about 60 feet apart.  It became obvious that a second audio system would be needed to provide enough sound for this large sanctuary.  Installation will take place the week of June 16, 2008.
